Nigel James has been encouraging people to follow Jesus for over 40 years. Whether preaching to his home congregation in Barry, South Wales, opening the Bible with athletes in a sports ministry setting, hosting concert events for crowds of thousands all over the USA, leading devotionals in the dressing room of Grammy award winning rock band Third Day, training youth leaders in Africa, preaching in a new church in Macedonia, training pastors in India or speaking through an interpreter in a simple church building in a remote Indian village, Nigel has always aimed to point to Jesus and create an environment for the Holy Spirit to minister to people through the Word of God.
Starting out in youth ministry, Nigel has worked both in the church and the para-church setting, and has ministered all around the globe. With a degree in Sociology, a post-graduate diploma in pastoral studies, and a Master’s degree in Theology, Nigel often speaks on subjects such as the Call to Global Mission, the Father-heart of God, our Identity and Calling in Christ, Lifelong Discipleship, and Understanding and Experiencing the Holy Spirit.
Nigel has written a number of books over the years, including ‘Ignite:God’s Purpose for this Generation’, ‘Seven Myths of Youth Ministry; How to Re-Ignite your Passion’ with friend Gary Smith, ‘Seven Ways to Ignite Outrageous Prayer’ with friend Carl Brettle, ‘Seven Ways to Ignite your Life: Life Lessons from 1 Samuel’, and ‘Lessons from the Road’ with the members of Third Day. Most of these are available through regular online booksellers.
